Left-back Luca Pellegrini will not be available for Frankfurt this weekend. As revealed at a Friday presser, the Italian defender had been insufficiently able to partake in training this week during his recovery from muscular issues in his thigh. Eintracht head-coach Oliver Glasner noted that he wished to give the Italian international the duration of the international break to sort through his injury whilst speaking at a Friday presser.

With left-back Christopher Lenz also out, it does not appear likely that the SGE trainer will try to form a back-four. Glasner has no natural left-wingers to move back. Of his defenders, only Timothy Chandler has some experience working out of the left-back role. Taking Glasner's statements about the recent performance of his back-three into account, the most likely scenario sees Makoto Hasebe, Tuta, and Evan N'dicka comprise the defensive chain again.

Here too, however, there is a problem. Glasner divulged on Friday that Makoto Hasebe is carrying a light injury. While taking care emphasize that it "wasn't too serious", the SGE gaffer had to also noted that he would not force the 38-year-old to start if the player himself didn't feel at his best.

"I will still discuss this with Makoto," Glasner said, "If Makoto declares himself ready, he will play. I act on the assumption that he will want to be there and feels fit enough."
