Bayern Munich put on a show in their 5-0 win over SC Freiburg, who still remain without an away victory against the Bavarian club in their history. Three points never looked in doubt for Bayern, who efficiently breezed right through the Breisgau club's defense with five different goal-scorers.

Bayern were on the front foot from the start and nearly scored off several early through-balls that made their way through Freiburg's center-backs. After Mark Flekken saved Leroy Sane's effort, Serge Gnabry powered home the rebound to give Bayern an early advantage in just the 13th minute.

The record champions parked themselves in Freiburg's half for much of the first period and especially tried to get behind Freiburg's defense with overlap action down the left wing. After patient play, Eric Choupo-Moting got his first goal of the season in the 33rd minute to extend Bayern's lead.

Bayern looked extremely dominant throughout the first 45 and hardly allowed Christian Streich's side to create any chances of their own. Freiburg pushed more aggressively to begin the second half, but still couldn't manage a first shot on target.

Bayern were hungry to extend their comfortable advantage, as Sane put away a super strike to make it 3-0 in the 52nd minute. Freiburg fell apart at the back yet again, leading to any easy chip shot from Sadio Mane in the 55th minute.

Marcel Sabitzer added a 5th with a first-time finish in the 80th minute to emphatically close out the contest. The scoreline could've been far worse with the ball constantly stuck in Freiburg's end. Dayot Upamecano and Matthijs de Ligt were never really troubled at the back and even progressed forward at times to help in attack.

With the win, Bayern move to 2nd in the league, four points behind Union Berlin. 3rd place Freiburg face St. Pauli in the DFB-Pokal and Werder Bremen on Matchday 11, while the Bavarian club play Augsburg and Hoffenheim this week.
