Kevin Behrens feels in the form of his life

In a recent interview with Bild, 32-year-old Union Berlin forward Kevn Behrens said he feels better than ever.
Union Berlin's Kevin Behrens has impressed recently, scoring three goals in five matches in 2023, and seems to have moved ahead of Jordan in the pecking order as a result thereof.

When asked if he's in the form of his life in a recent interview with Bild, Behrens told the German tabloid:

"Yes, of course. If you look at the level in the last few weeks, you can definitely say that I'm in my best form. Why? Never give up, always work hard, both before training and after training, believe in yourself and take the chance."

At the age of 32, Behrens is a late bloomer, having been snapped up on a free transfer from 2. Bundesliga side Sandhausen a year and a half ago.

"My path has not been normal, but I have always accepted the situation because of my passion for football. You have to be in the right place and be lucky like I was when I was given the chance by Union," said Behrens, who had only played Regionalliga football before his move to Sandhausen in 2018.

"It's crazy. Former teammates I played with in the regional league often approach me and remind me of those times and ground me," added the striker, who was recently rewarded with a new deal in the German capital.
