The local Leipziger Volkszeitung now reports that RC Lens have finally accepted an oversized offer from Leipzig for striker Loïs Openda.

A reported third (or potentially fourth bid) has now, according to the Leipziger Volkszeitung, been accepted by the Ligue 1 side. The German paper suggests that Eberl eventually migrated towards the club's original asking price of around €45 million, but does not cite a specific amount. The Fußballtransfers website speaks of a €43 million base transfer fee with added bonuses, but this cannot be Independently corroborated.
The LVZ does note that Eberl's latest offer is "well over" the original €30 million lowball tender. The new outlay will likely push Leipzig over the €100 million mark in transfer payments this summer. Newcomers Christoph Baumgartner and Benjamin Sesko have already cost the Saxons €24 million a piece while Nicolas Seiwald commanded a reported €20 million.
Naturally, this is nothing compared to the inlays Leipzig have received. Christopher Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai have already netted the German Red Bulls €130 million. A potential sale of Josko Gvardiol could add another €100 million to the coffers. Potential sales of Marcel Halstenberg, Benjamin Henrichs, Tom Krauß, and Alexander Sørloth could bring in even more.
