Leipzig updates: RB to pick up Lenz, no takers for Clark and Moriba
Multiple German footballing media sources are now reporting that Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig are now close to sealing a deal to send left-back Christopher Lenz to Saxony.
In other Leipzig-related transfer news, it looks to be the case that dead-weight players Ilaix Moriba and Caden Clark will remain on the roster for the first-half of the current Bundesliga campaign.
Reports emerging yesterday suggested that RB Leipzig's search for a back-up/rotative alternative to David Raum led the German Red Bulls to Germany's financial capital. Germany's Kicker Magazine now confirms reports emerging from Sky Germany that Eintracht Frankfurt's Christopher Lenz is most likely headed to RB. The 28-year-old will fill the slot left by Marcel Halstenberg, who departed for Hannover this summer.

Lenz has contested 93 top-flight fixtures for Eintracht and Union Berlin. Sky and Kicker journalist Oliver Hartmann report that the SGE will receive €1-2 million for the Berlin native. Hartmann also provides updates on two additional Leipzig players RB Sporting CEO Max Eberl has been hoping to get off the payroll before the transfer window closes.
At the very least, Eberl has been hoping to loan out "problem child" Ilaix Moriba and developmental American prospect Caden Clark. It nevertheless appears as if the German footballing administrator has found no takers for this pair. Hartmann writes that there appears to be "no solution in sight" for either the costly mistake or the fourth-string midfielder.
