Report: Lautern and Bochum interested in acquring Hrustic

Italian transfer guru Gianluca di Marzio reports that two German clubs are interested in bringing Australian attacking midfielder Ajdin Hrustic back to Germany.
Former FC Schalke 04 academy man and Eintracht Frankfurt professional Ajdin Hrustic may be returning to the Bundesrepublik. Italian transfer guru Gianluca di Marzio reports that VfL Bochum and 1. FC Kaiserslautern are interested in procuring the services of the 27-year-old. Hrustic departed for Hellas Verona at the end of the summer 2022 transfer window.

Hrustic scored three goals in 40 appearances across all competitions for Eintracht during his last two-year-stint in Germany between 2020 and 2022. The 24-times-capped Aussie international was also among those who safely converted his penalty in the shootout that allowed Frankfurt to take the Europa League crown at the end of the 2021/22 cycle.

Injury issues kept Hrustic on the sidelines for Hellas Verona last year. Having no real role under head-coach Marco Beroni, he has yet to make an appearance for his Serie A side this season. Hrustic maintains an estimated market worth of €900,000 in the latest transfermarkt listings. German clubs can hope to either acquire him on-the-cheap or potentially for nothing with a straightforward loan deal.
