Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke says he remains hopeful that Jadon Sancho will be staying at the club beyond the summer amid speculation linking the youngster with a summer exit.
But under all circumstances, the club will listen to what Sancho wants, the BVB boss said.
"Even before the coronavirus outbreak, we said that we prefer that Jadon stays with us," Watzke told Bild and added:
"At the end of the day, however, you always have to respect what the player wants."
According to reports, Dortmund want €130 million for Sancho, and Watzke says there are no plans to lower the asking price despite the financial impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
"I'll say clearly say that even the very rich clubs shouldn't believe that they can come here to snap up bargains. We don't have to sell anyone for less than they're worth," Watzke underlined.
Sancho's contract with Dortmund expires in 2022.
