"Ondrej is a 100 percent part of our plans. He will come back," Hertha sporting director Michael Preetz told Kicker and added that the midfielder "has shown how much he can help" the team in the past.
Duda moved to England on loan in January as he wasn't satisfied with his playing time under Jürgen Klinsmann, but the former German international has now left the club.
"In the winter, he didn't see any perspective for himself under the coach we had at the time. But he always wanted to play for Hertha," Preetz said.
Alexander Nouri was put in charge on an interim basis after Klinsmann resigned in February. According to reports, Bruno Labbadia is set to be appointed new Hertha coach this week.
