Report: Leverkusen make a "serious offer" for Arsenal's Sead Kolasinac

While the former Schalke star won't be returning to Gelsenkirchen this season, another NRW club seeks to bring the Bosnian back to Germany.
In an interview last week, Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz emphasized his team's need for a left-footed defender. Germany's SportBild now reports that the club has contacted Arsenal FC about acquiring one post-haste. The Sead Kolasinac saga continues anew.

Sport Bild cites sources confirming that Bayer have tabled "a serious offer" and that "concrete discussions" are taking place. Die Werkself may even have him back in Germany by the weekend.

Germany's red company team must compete with AS Roma, who are also said to be in talks with the Gunners to secure Kolasinic's services. The Italian club can purportedly offer more for the one-time Schalke star. Leverkusen's bid is thought to be in the €9 million range, padded mostly by bonuses.

Kolasinac could conceivably still prefer a transfer to a German club, as he still maintains a home in Düsseldorf. The chance to play for a Champions League club 40 kilometers from his residence could tip the scales.
