Mario Götze hasn't given up hope that he will be back in the German national team in time for next year's European Championship.
The 28-year-old, who joined PSV ic October, hasn't played for 'Die Mannschaft' since November 2017, but has remained in touch with Germany coach Joachim Löw.
"'Jogi' and I have stayed in regular contact. I'm happy with my start to life at PSV," Götze told Bild.
"I would be delighted to represent the national team again. Playing at the European Championship is a big dream for me, especially since I was absent from the World Cup in 2018. My hunger for titles has grown even bigger in the meantime," the attacking midfielder said.
In a recent interview with Sportbuzzer, Löw recently emphasized that he 'will not lose sight of Götze'.
