Fantasy Bundesliga: Must-haves and differentials for Matchday 11

Ahead of Matchday 11, we have highlighted a must-have player (M) and a differential pick (D) from each game that you should consider for your Fantasy Bundesliga team.
VfL Wolfsburg v. Eintracht Frankfurt:

M: Maximilian Arnold, Forward (WOB, 14.2M, 2%) - Wolfsburg are still unbeaten in league play and Arnold has been the midfield maestro holding it all down. In just the last three games, Arnold has a goal and an assist on four shots and eight crosses. He will continue to be the main set piece and corner specialist as well.

D: Aymen Barkok, Midfielder (SGE, 3.4M, 1%) - The Frankfurt born midfielder has started the last two games for Eintracht as he starts to supplant himself as a mainstay in the starting lineup. He has been very attack-minded and has the ability to breakout as he showed a month ago with a two-assist second half against Stuttgart.

Borussia Dortmund v. VfB Stuttgart:

M: Silas Wamangituka, Forward (VFB, 8.8M, 2%) - If there were any questions before, they have certainly been answered now. With three games in a row of over 12 Fantasy points, Wamangituka is proving he can be a serviceable Fantasy asset. The controversy of his last goal will surely overlook his great play during the game, but against a weakened Dortmund side, his speed could prove to be the difference.

D: Mateu Morey, Defender (BVB, 3.3M, 1%) - Starting two of the last three games for Dortmund in all competitions, Morey is seeing the most consecutive minutes he has seen in his young career. While not expected to light up the score sheet, he is a very cheap way to get into a Dortmund lineup that always has the chance for attacking fireworks.

RB Leipzig v. SV Werder Bremen:

M: Christopher Nkunku, Midfielder (RBL, 15.1M, 6%) - After starting off the season with only one goal and two assists in his first 12 games, Nkunku is rounding into last year’s form at the perfect time, scoring twice and assisting once in his last three. He also continues to lead the team in corners, only conceding more to Angelino in the game against Bayern, all season.

D: Kevin Möhwald, Midfielder, (SVW, 2.6M, 0%) - After missing the last match, Möhwald is back and available to start for Bremen. He scored his first goal of the season in their eight goal thriller against Wolfsburg two weeks ago.

Borussia M’gladbach v. Hertha BSC:

M: Marcus Thuram, Forward (BMG, 15M, 3%) - It actually has been a very disappointing season so far for Thuram, goal scoring wise, with only one in his last nine games in all competitions, four on the whole season. Thuram is too good a player for this to last so expect him to end his slump this weekend.

D: Krzysztof Piątek, Forward (BSC, 10.8M, 1%) - With Cunha suspended, this is Piątek’s chance to capitalize on the form he is in, before he is benched again. ‘Il Pistolero’ has hardly lived up to the billing but could see his fortunes turn around if he can make the most out of this start.

Sport-Club Freiburg v. DSC Arminia Bielefeld:

M: Vincenzo Grifo, Midfielder (SCF, 12.9M, 3%) - Scoring 16 Fantasy points in back-to-back games, Grifo is truly standing out and it proves that Grifo feels more at home in Freiburg than anywhere else. If Freiburg wants to avoid the drop zone, however, they need to make some serious improvements as they're only one point away from disaster.

D: Ermedin Demirović, Forward (SCF, 6.9M, 0%) - Demirović has started the last two games for Freiburg and has gotten more impressive the more minutes he has seen. He is a fairly unknown commodity with only three senior appearances for La Liga side Deportivo Alaves since 2017 before he joined Freiburg this summer. Freiburg may have unearthed another gem.

1. FSV Mainz 05 v. 1. FC Köln:

M: Jean-Paul Boëtius, Midfielder (M05, 9.8M, 1%) - Boëtius is probably feeling a bit unlucky after his play lately, with not getting a goal on eight shots in his last three games. A few bounces here or there and the story could be very different. He should still be happy with his contributions to the team and has scored a respectable 9, 7 and 15 Fantasy points in his last three games.

D: Jan Thielmann, Forward (KOE, 4.2M, 0%) - The 18-year old finally got his first senior goal last week after being promoted from their youth squad a year ago. He has started their last two matches and should only continue to get better.

1. FC Union Berlin v. FC Bayern München:

M: Robert Lewandowski, Forward (FCB, 20.7M, 72%) - For obvious reasons, but one shouldn't jump ship quite yet with Lewandowski. He hasn't had a multi-goal and/or assist game for a month and it will not last for long.

D: Taiwo Awoniyi, Forward (FCU, 6.3M, 0%) - Max Kruse is out so someone else is going to have to step up and lead Union to continue the great season they have had so far. Bayern have not kept a clean sheet since Matchday 5 and have given up the first goal four games in a row in the league.

FC Augsburg v. FC Schalke 04:

M: Daniel Caligiuri, Midfielder (FCA, 10.5M, 6%) - Caligiuri will be eager to show up his old squad, who would gladly have him back at this moment of despair. If Caligiuri can grab 14 Fantasy points in a 3-1 loss last week, he could have a field day with the worst team in the league.

D: Michael Langer, Goalkeeper (S04, 1.1M, 0%) - With Ronnow still slated to miss another game due to hamstring injury, Langer will get another nod between the pipes. He is extremely cheap and sure to get a lot of save opportunities.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen v. TSG Hoffenheim:

M: Julian Baumgartlinger, Midfielder (B04, 5.7M, 2%) - While not immediately showing class at the start of this season, Baumgartlinger has been influential for Leverkusen as of late, two goals in their last two competitive games. He has been all over the pitch on both sides of the ball, scoring plenty of Won Duels points as well each game. He will also not break the bank and is a true steal at a price of only 5.7M.

D: Ihlas Bebou, Forward (SG, 8.3M, 0%) - After not scoring all season, Bebou has bagged a goal two games in a row. With all the attention that Kramaric is now starting to draw, Bebou is showing that he can benefit from the chances.
