Spitting incident will likely earn Marcus Thuram long suspension
Borussia Mönchengladbach cannot escape controversy when it comes to the DFB's rules concerning unsportsmanlike conduct.
One day after Christoph Kramer was cleared by the FA's disciplinary committee, Marcus Thuram will likely incur a multi-match ban following another spitting incident in the Saturday fixture.

The video evidence from Borussia Park on Saturday, however, will not require any additional review. Gladbach's Marcus Thuram clearly spat in the face of opponent Stefan Posch in the 77th minute of the home side's 1-2 loss to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
Match official Frank Willenborg was immediately alerted to the incident by the video review team. A quick VAR check confirmed that Thuram received a straight red card.
Evidence of such a damning and unsavory nature will likely earn Thuram a ban of up to seven fixtures. Schalke's Ozan Kabak missed five games earlier this season after a much less flagrant incident.
