Bayer Leverkusen star Julian Brandt will be the next to wear the number 10 on the back. The German Football Association has announced that the 22-year-old will take over the number following Mesut Özil's decision to quit the national team.

Yesterday, German national team coach Joachim Löw announced his first squad since the disappointing group stage exit at the World Cup in Russia.

The three newcomers - Thilo Kehrer, Nico Schulz and Kai Havertz - will wear number 12, 14 and 20 respectively.
