US Sassuolo have inquired about Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.

Ligue 1 outfits Olympique Marseille and AS Monaco are also said to have Dahoud on the radar.

The 25-year-old is still under contract with Dortmund until 2022, but hasn't featured since the beginning of December.

Ruhr Nachrichten further reports that Dahoud was recently dropped from the squad following a dispute with head coach Edin Terzic in training at the beginning of January.

He has since apologized for the incident, which is considered resolved by the Bundesliga club.
