Nadiem Amiri 'exhausted' by Leverkusen's coaching change
Adapting from Peter Bosz to Hannes Wolf has been tiring, according to Nadiem Amiri.
Nadiem Amiri admits that Bayer Leverkusen's change of coach from Peter Bosz to Hannes Wolf has had an 'exhausting' effect on the team.
Wolf came in to replace Bosz around three weeks ago, taking the reins on a short-team deal until the end of the season.
Speaking after Monday's 0-0 draw with Hoffenheim, Amiri expressed frustration with the result – and with the coaching change.
"A point is not enough. We want to get into the Champions League, but we are now nine points off," Amiri told DAZN and added:
"We've had to adjust to the new coach. It has been exhausting for all of us, not only for me.
"When you have a change of coach at the end of the season and suddenly have to train in a new way, it's just exhausting – because we've had a lot of games as well," added the midfielder.
Wolf has taken four points from his first two games in charge. Leverkusen sit sixth in the Bundesliga table with six games left to play this season.
