The sale of lead striker André Silva to RB Leipzig having been finalized this past Friday, Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that administrators in Germany's commercial capital have spent the weekend sewing up some of the last details on two target signings to replace the Portuguese attacker.

According to Kicker magazine, reports that the transfer of Columbian striker Rafael Santos Borré from Argentine side River Platé has been completed can be verified. It remains unclear why the deal has not been announced yet despite a report from Sky Germany that it would be confirmed on the same day of the Silva sale.

One reason for the delay may be Borré's participation in the Copa America semi-finals on Tuesday. In any event, Kicker notes that the deal is done and that its verification is "a mere formality."

Regarding the race for Norwegian winger Jens Petter Hauge, the SGE is said to be highly proactive in the hunt to pry the 21-year-old away from AC Milan. The former FK Bodø/Glimt forward is still linked with other clubs, but Frankfurt appear to have the resources to plunk down some €15 million for both Borré and Hauge.

Hauge happens to play the same position as star Serbian Filip Kostic, for whom transfer rumors obstinately refuse to die down. Kicker cites its own sources to nevertheless claim that the club remains intent on keeping the Serbian winger amid all of the talk.
