Ahead of the upcoming Bundesliga season, Hamburger SV have recruited Martin Adeline to add depth to their midfield ranks.
The 22-year-old has transferred from French first-division newcomers ES Troyes AC to Hamburger SV, as announced this evening.
On the morning of Monday, 13 July, Adeline successfully completed his medical examination at the Volkspark.
While the exact duration has been kept confidential by both clubs, the midfielder has signed a long-term contract with HSV.
With 21 goal contributions in 32 league games last campaign, Adeline played a key role in Troyes' return to Ligue 1 after three years.
“With the signing of Martin, we are implementing an important building block in our strategic squad development.
"The close and trusting collaboration between the sporting management, scouting, and coaching staff forms the basis for our decisions.
"After the intensive analysis of last season, it was clear that we wanted to further develop our squad in a targeted manner and with additional profiles.
"Martin brings precisely the qualities that will enrich our game and open up new options and thus flexibility for us.
"At the same time, his personality and mentality are an excellent fit for the values we stand for as HSV. Martin is a selfless team player who works very hard for the collective on the pitch.
"We are very pleased that he has chosen to join us on this path,” said HSV's sporting director Kathleen Krüger upon Adeline's arrival.
