Fortuna Düsseldorf has officially announced that Žan Celar is moving to Germany on loan from Queens Park Rangers.

The 2.Bundesliga club has also secured an option to buy for the marksman, although the fee has been kept private.

In what was an injury hit 2024/25 season, the 26-year-old striker scored just 2 goals in 19 appearances for QPR in the EFL Championship.

However, he had previously caused a stir with 40 goals in 95 league games for his former employers FC Lugano.

Fortuna Düsseldorf will be hoping the 17-time capped Slovenian international can rediscover his form from his time in Switzerland.

"We have been closely monitoring Zan Celar since his successful time in Switzerland.

"Now we are very pleased that we have managed to fill the last offensive position with him," said F95 sporting director Klaus Allofs.
