After confirming the signing of highly rated 16-year-old Kennet Eichhorn from Hertha BSC on Wednesday, Bayer Leverkusen appear to be making progress in their bid to bring in another new player.

According to Foot Mercato, Olympique Lyon winger Afonso Moreira has given Die Werkself the green light for a summer move.

Bild also reports that Leverkusen are interested in the 21-year-old and puts the potential transfer fee at €25-30 million.

The two clubs are said to be working towards a swift agreement in order to finalise the transfer as soon as possible.

Moreira scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in 37 appearances for Lyon last season.

The former Sporting CP player has made three appearances for Portugal’s U21 national team.
