Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has been informed that Rapid Wien intend to activate their purchase option on Augsburg’s Dion Beljo.

The option to buy the Croatian striker is expected to cost €7-9million, with the Austrian club keen to sell him on for profit at €10-12million.

With 18 goals and 4 assists in all competitions, the Augsburg loanee has impressed.

A host of clubs from Italy, Spain and the Benelux region are interested in Beljo including Bologna, Ajax and Anderlecht.

Fellow Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim haven’t ruled out a swoop for the 23-year-old either.
