According to a report from Bild, Newcastle United recently submitted a €12 million bid to Borussia Mönchengladbach for Moritz Nicolas.

However, Gladbach sporting director Rouven Schröder has denied that the Bundesliga club have received an offer for the 28-year-old goalkeeper.

“We have not received any offer for Moritz Nicolas,” Schröder said, according to Kicker.

He also made it clear that Borussia Mönchengladbach have no intention of selling their first-choice goalkeeper.

“We are planning with Moritz 100 percent as our number one,” he added.
