Former Werder Bremen striker Josh Sargent is being linked with a return to the Bundesliga.

According to Kicker, VfL Wolfsburg are shown stroning interest in signing the US international, who currently plays for Norwich City in the English Championship.

Die Wölfe are seeking a new striker and may turn to Sargent after realizing a deal for their top target, Fábio Silva from Wolverhampton Wanderers, is unlikely.

With just one year remaining on Sargent's contract at Norwich, the English club could be open to cashing in on the 25-year-old.

Sargent, who reportedly cost around €9.5 million when he moved from Werder Bremen four years ago, scored 15 goals in the Championship last season.
