Sport Bild Report: Hoffenheim pushing for €50 million transfer packet on Beier deal

After rejecting an initial offer of €25 million for their striker, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim are - according to one source - pushing Borussia Dortmund extremely hard over their attempts to acquire German national team striker Maximilian Beier. The 21-year-old very much wants to move to North-Rhine Westphalia, but Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that the Sinsheimers are holding firm in their demands.
"Sport Bild" claims that Frank Kramer and the interim TSG administrative regime wish to collect closer to €50 million for Beier. A base-transfer-fee of €30 million remains acceptable to the Rhein-Neckar club, yet Kramer and his staff are insisting on a bonus-package of €15 million and a €5 million re-sale clause. Negotiations could drag on as both clubs attempt to devise something that could fill this need.
Meanwhile, Hoffenheim confirmed that Beier will not feature for the team during today's test fixture against Fulham. The German tabloid still lists the probability of a transfer going through as likely. Kramer's managerial regime do not find themselves in the strongest negotiating position. Moreover, the TSG front office is under serious pressure to complete their own signings ahead of the new season.
