Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly losing faith that Elye Wahi will make his breakthrough at the club.

According to Bild, the plan until fairly recently had been for the 25-year-old to share playing time up front with Jonathan Burkardt.

However, over the past four games, Wahi has only featured for 29 minutes and he spent 90 minutes on the bench when Eintracht drew 2-2 with Freiburg on Sunday.

His fellow striker Michy Batshuayi, meanwhile, wasn’t even included in the squad.

Bild reports that neither Wahi nor Batshuayi appear to have a future at Eintracht Frankfurt, with a winter exit possible for both players.

Die Adler have already identified Newcastle United’s William Osula as a potential replacement who could provide cover for Burkardt.
