After missing Bayern Munich's 4-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach last week, Harry Kane returned to team training on Monday.

The England striker was included in the squad for Tuesday’s clash with Atalanta, but Bayern took a cautious approach, keeping him on the bench for the full 6-1 victory.

Since then, the 32-year-old has trained consistently. Despite this, head coach Vincent Kompany said at a press conference on Friday that Kane’s place in the starting lineup for Saturday’s Bundesliga meeting with Bayer Leverkusen isn’t yet guaranteed.

“There's a chance he'll play tomorrow,” Kompany said.

“He's had a full week of training. We haven't taken any risks with him. Even with an 11-point lead, we can't afford to relax. If Harry is fit, he'll play. We'll gather more information on him today.”

Kane has scored 30 goals in 24 Bundesliga matches this season.
