Earlier this month, it was reported that Borussia Mönchengladbach were close to agreeing a new contract with Lukas Ullrich.

However, according to Bild, it's uncertain if the two parties can reach an agreement, as a significant gap persists between the player’s and club’s salary expectations.

If no deal is reached, Ullrich could leave Borussia-Park this summer, with the report suggesting that former Gladbach coach Daniel Farke is interested in bringing Ullrich to newly-promoted Premier League side Leeds United.

Meanwhile, English media report that Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur are also showing interest in the left-back, who is currently representing Germany at the U21 Euros.

Ullrich’s current contract runs until 2027.
