After spending the second half of the season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, 20-year-old attacking midfielder Paxten Aaronson looks to be headed back to the Dutch Erdevisie. The young Aaronson brother netted four league goals in 14 appearances for relegated Vitesse. He also registered an assist in seven Bundesliga appearances during the first half of the 2023/24 season.
Aaronson will - according to the New York Times transfer blog (coordinated with online sports journal "The Athletic") receive a new contract with his parent club after the successful loan-out. The youngster will sign a one-year-extension that will keep him bound to the RheinMainAdler through 2028, then be loaned straight back out to Utrecht. One assumes the new deal will keep Paxten in Holland for the year.
Paxten appeared to be ready for the Eintracht XI under trainer Oliver Glasner near the end of the 2022/23 campaign, but struggled to find a place under new SGE trainer Dino Toppmöller amid injury problems this past autumn. Paxten's elder brother Brenden finished the season strongly whilst on loan at 1. FC Union Berlin, but will likely also not feature in German football next year after Union declined to pull a purchase option on the Leeds talent.
