According to Sky Germany, SV Werder Bremen has already reached an agreement with newly promoted SV Elversberg's Lasse Günther.

Negotiations regarding a suitable transfer fee for the 23-year-old are reportedly underway with the Saarland club.

Günther was one of the key players in Elversberg's promotion last season, chipping in with an impressive eight assists.

He only joined Elversberg from FC Augsburg last summer for €300,000, therefore his current contract still runs until 2028.

With Bremen set to lose Issac Schmidt whose loan spell ends this summer, the club are low on options for the left side of defence.

Meanwhile, the future of Olivier Deman is also constantly under discussion, and Felix Agu is an option despite frequent injury problems.
