Werder Bremen have missed out on the signing of Willem Geubbels. The French striker had been identified as a potential addition to the club's attack, but according to reports, the 25-year-old has decided against a move to the Bundesliga.

Werder had reportedly made an enquiry for Geubbels as they looked to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season. The forward, who currently plays for Paris FC, was considered a possible solution for Bremen's search for a new striker.

However, the deal will not go ahead. Geubbels is instead set to continue his career in Italy with Lecce, leaving Werder without one of their desired attacking targets. The club will now have to explore alternative options in the transfer market.
