Bayern Munich will have to do without Konrad Laimer for the time being, the Bavarian club announced this afternoon, January 15.

The 28-year-old suffered a torn muscle fiber in his left calf during Wednesday evening's Bundesliga away match against 1.FC Köln.

Despite playing the entirety of the 3-1 win, Laimer hobbled off in injury time and was seen receiving attention from doctors in the dugout.

This was officially confirmed by an examination conducted by Bayern's medical department in the aftermath of the game.

A time stamp for a return has not been placed on the Austrian yet - Vincent Kompany may reveal more in his next press conference.

Depending on the severity of the tear, a player can expect between two to eight weeks on the sidelines from this specific injury.

Laimer has been crucial in the German record champions' season to date, with 2 goals and 8 assists in 26 games across all competitions.
