Sky Germany are reporting that Julian Nagelsmann’s future as head coach of the German national team is no longer guaranteed.

This comes less than 24 hours after the four-time world champions were eliminated from the World Cup on penalties by Paraguay.

As revealed by DFB president Bernd Neuendorf, the first analysis meeting between DFB bosses and Nagelsmann took place yesterday.

Further talks will follow when the squad and Nagelsmann return to Germany – a decision is expected within days, not weeks.

Prior to the tournament's start, making the Round of 16 was the minimum target with a quarter-final and beyond seen as a bonus.

The pay-TV channel also mentions Jürgen Klopp, would be the top candidate should the DFB part ways with Nagelsmann.
