Aside from their pursuit of 1.FC Köln's Said El Mala, Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be working on other transfers.

As reported by soccernews.nl, the Westphalian giants have identified Joey Veerman from PSV Eindhoven as a potential target.

The club is considering signing the 27-year-old central midfielder since his release clause of around €20million expires "in a few days".

This release clause, according to Eindhovens Dagblad newspaper, means that quick action is required in order to sign Veerman for cheaper.

Dortmund have already expressed their interest in the player, but ultimately their current priority is finding a new winger.

Veerman has been playing in Eindhoven for four and a half years and has made 197 competitive appearances for the Eredivise club.

He has also earned a modest 16 caps for the Netherlands national team, most recently at Euro 2024 in Germany.
