Alejandro Grimaldo has kept his options open on whether he could imagine a move to Real Madrid or Atlético despite his Barça past.

“I'm not saying no to anything, they are all great teams, I don't hate any of them," the 29-year-old said in an interview with Mundo Deportivo.

"I'm not going to say that Madrid [or Atlético] is a shit team, they are both great teams and that's it.

"But I've already said that I've been at Barça's youth academy my whole life and I have a lot of affection for them,” he added.

Grimaldo also played down his estimated price of €40million market value attributed to him by Transfermarkt, stating it isn't necessarily accurate.

“People always look at market value, but market value isn't real. I was a free agent there, so there are always ways around it,” he explained.

With a massive exodus of star names from Bayer Leverkusen, it remains to be seen if the Spaniard will remain at the BayArena.
