The German Football Association's sports court has suspended VfL Wolfsburg goalkeeper Marius Müller for one league match.

This outcome was reached following charges brought by the DFB control committee for unsportsmanlike conduct against Müller.

Müller was sent off by referee Florian Exner after the final whistle of last weekend's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Hamburger SV.

The incident happened upon the final whistle when both teams' benches were involved in several alterations, seeing Müller singled out.

As a result, the 32-year-old shot-stopper will therefore miss Wolfsburg's upcoming away game against TSG Hoffenheim this Saturday.

Elsewhere, the Lower Saxony club bid farewell to assistant coach Tobias Holm who left along with dismissed head coach Daniel Bauer

The 36-year-old joined the academy from Hannover 96 in 2020 and worked with various age groups until his promotion to the first team.

Wolfsburg thanked him for his commitment to the green and white side and wished him all the best for the future.

Wolfsburg have since replaced former head coach Bauer with the experienced Dieter Hecking who last coached VfL Bochum.
