TSG Hoffenheim will be hoping that Leo Østigård hasn't suffered a serious injury after the centre-back was forced off in the first half of Norway's 5-0 win over Moldova on Saturday.

"It might be something muscular. I've had the feeling of half a thigh bump this week, and maybe I felt it a bit more," Østigård told Netavisen after the game.

“I don't want to take any risks by making it worse, at least. We'll see if I'm fit enough to play the next game.”

Norway boss Ståle Solbakken was highly doubtful that Østigård would be fit to face Israel on Tuesday.

“I haven't spoken to him, but I doubt it very much now that he's been taken off. I don't know what it was, but it seems to have been a strain,” said Solbakken.

Whether Østigård will be available for Hoffenheim's upcoming game against Augsburg is also in doubt.
