Bayern Munich are cruising towards the Bundesliga title, eight points clear of Bayer Leverkusen with 11 league games remaining this season.

However, the Belgian coach's first season in charge hasn't been all roses. The Bavarians were knocked out of the DFB-Pokal by Leverkusen in the early stages and have been inconsistent in the Champions League, where they narrowly edged out Celtic to reach the knockout stages.

Next up in Europe's top club competition is a tie with Leverkusen, who Kompany has failed to beat in three attempts since taking over.

But even if Bayern lose to the German champions, the coach won't have to worry about his job, according to Sport Bild.

The report claims that the former Manchester City man has been given a job guarantee by the club's management, who are only asking for the Bundesliga title this season.

As well as the club's impressive Bundesliga results, Kompany's management of the squad has also impressed the club's chiefs, with the players seemingly united behind the 38-year-old.
