Juventus have apparently set their sights on Bayer Leverkusen starting Alejandro Grimaldo in their search for reinforcements in defence.

According to the report published by Tuttosport, the 30-year-old is a candidate for the left-back position at the Serie A giants.

Grimaldo is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2027, but recently has been considering a change of scenery.

He previously spoke publicly about AC Milan and in the past, the Spanish international has also been linked with FC Barcelona.

In the Grimaldo saga, Juve are particularly keen to outmaneuver Barcelona, who have likely won the race for Manchester City's Bernardo Silva.

With the Portuguese playmaker expected to sign at Camp Nou, the Turin club are turning to Real Madrid's Brahim Díaz alongside Grimaldo.
