Anthony Caci could be set to depart Mainz during the summer transfer window, as Fussball Transfers reports.

Ligue 1 club Stade Rennes wants to sign the 27-year-old as a replacement for Lorenz Assignon, who is close to joining VfB Stuttgart.

Caci is therefore at the top of the northern French club's wish list, however the competition is fierce for the versatile defender.

Several Premier League clubs also have their sights set on the Mainz star performer. Fulham and Leeds United are among the biggest fans.

Borussia Dortmund also remains interested in the player, but it must be noted BVB are currently well resourced in the full-backs.
