Stuttgart set to unveil first summer signing

According to reports, Lorenz Assignon’s transfer from Stade Rennes to VfB Stuttgart has been finalized.

VfB Stuttgart are set to present Lorenz Assignon as their first signing ahead of the 2025/26 season.

According to reports from L'Équipe and Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have agreed on a deal worth a total of €15 million. 

Romano adds that the 24-year-old right-back has already completed his medical with the Swabians.

As a result, it now appears to be only a matter of time before the transfer is made official.

Assignon impressed with Stade Rennes during the 2024/25 campaign, scoring four goals and providing five assists across 34 appearances.
