Hat-trick hero Lewandowski shares thoughts on Bayern's victory over Benfica

Robert Lewandowski has shared his thoughts on Bayern München's 5-2 victory over Benfica, which saw him score a hat-trick.
Robert Lewandowski bagged a hat-trick, provided an assist and missed a penalty as Bayern München sealed qualification to the Champions League round of 16 with a comfortable 5-2 win over Benfica last night.

In an interview with Amazon Prime Video after the game, Lewandowski shared his thoughts on his side's performance.

"In the first 20 minutes, I barely touched the ball. It's not easy as a striker to stay patient. After the first goal, things were a bit easier. My favorite goal today was the second. I'm annoyed by the two goals we conceded. That motivates us. It's especially important for Neuer," said the Bayern forward.

"I didn't connect well with the penalty, that was a mistake from me. I saw exactly where the goalkeeper was jumping and still shot towards the wrong corner. Fortunately, we still scored a few more goals and picked up three more points. Another clear victory."
