Report: Leipzig health department may isolate RB after more coaches test positive
Bundesliga club RB Leipzig cancelled all training operations after four more members of its support staff returned positive rapid tests on Tuesday.
As of Tuesday evening, the club's official statement holds that no more members of the team have tested positive and that Friday night's fixture against Union Berlin is "not in danger."

A third wave of positive rapid COVID tests forced RB Leipzig to cancel all training operations on Tuesday. According to the club, four more members of the support staff returned positive tests. The club said that no further players tested positive for the novel virus on Tuesday and that, as a result, Friday evening's away fixture at Union Berlin is "not in danger according to the current status".

Sport Bild reports that assistant coach Achim Beierlorzer, already filling in for the quarantined Jesse Marsch, has tested positive. Furthermore, given the COVID situation in the vastly under vaccinated German federal state of Saxony, Sport Bild claims that the Leipzig health department is mulling over whether to send the entire team into isolation.
After Leipzig lost both trainer Marsch and captain Peter Gulacsi to quarantine early last week, a suspected corona-case involving defender Willi Orban (who left the team with flu-like symptoms late last week) proved to be a COVID case. Yussuf Poulsen and Mohamed Simakan then tested positive last Friday.
A new round of PCR tests have been conducted for all players and staff with results expected Wednesday. The club took care to emphasize on Tuesday that all of its players and staff have been vaccinated or recovered. Marsch and all current players in quarantine have reportedly been inoculated against the virus and are thus not in serious danger.
