Official: Leipzig part company with Marsch, new coach thought to be selected
The German Bundesliga's second-ever American head-coach's tenure lasted less than half a season.
Early Sunday, RB Leipzig confirmed that they had opted to part company with trainer Jesse Marsch.

Leipzig announced that co-trainer Achim Beierlorzer, provided he is permitted to leave quarantine, will take over the team on an interim basis. There exists some question as to whether the former Regensburg, Köln, and Mainz coach will even get the chance to lead the team in the next match as RB claims that a new coach will be "presented promptly".
The promise of a quick installation of a new coach might lend some credence to the rumors that the club will simply pluck another gaffer from the RB system. There has long been speculation that Leipzig wished to elevate Marsch's successor at RB Salzburg Matthias Jaissle to the post.
Both German Jaissle and RB New York's Austrian trainer Gerhard Struber--as fluent native speakers--certainly count as candidates.
