Past Vs Present: Yann Sommer Vs Jonas Omlin
Yann Sommer held the number one shirt at FC Basel 1893 from 2007 to 2014, before moving to the Bundesliga. The Swiss number one was a huge favourite at St. Jakob Park. New signing Jonas Omlin is already on the path to follow in Sommer's footsteps after the young Swiss goalkeeper has been terrific for FC Basel 1893 since joining from FC Lurzen. Borussia Mönchengladbach recovered from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

In a post-match interview, Gladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer admitted that it was a point won rather than two lost for 'Die Fohlen'.

"It's definitely a point won for us, in my opinion. Both teams attacked often in the first half, although we were a bit too lax in defence," said Sommer.

"We gave it everything in the second half, although the red card certainly played into our hands as well. We showed great spirit, lots of energy and deserved the equaliser. It’s too bad that it wasn’t enough for a win in the end."
