Hertha set to discuss under-fire Korkut's future, confirms Bobic

Hertha BSC chief Fredi Bobic refused to give his backing to under-fire head coach Tayfun Korkut following tonight's loss against Gladbach.
Tayfun Korkut's job as the head coach of Hertha BSC is hanging by a thread after the German capital club lost their fifth Bundesliga game in a row, falling to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday.

Addressing the situation following the defeat, which saw Hertha slip to 17th in the table, managing director for sport Fredi Bobic refused to make a clear statement on the future of the under-fire head coach.

"We will discuss very calmly. Now after the game and tomorrow morning. Then we'll see," Bobic told Sky Germany, stressing that he is planning to have a conversation with Korkut himself.

"We'll discuss things behind the scenes - where it belongs."

He added that there would be no "rushed decision."

However, he said, Hertha will "definitely" comment on the further course of action on Sunday.

"One thing is clear: We don't have enough points and are in a direct relegation spot," underlined the Hertha chief.
