Report: Frankfurt court Swiss attacker

Swiss newspaper "Blick" reports that Eintracht Frankfurt are among the suitors for Servette FC attacking midfielder Kastriot Imeri.
A scorer of ten goals and supplier of three assists in this year's Swiss Super League may be on his way to the Bundesliga soon. Swiss newspaper "Blick" reports that Eintracht Frankfurt are preparing a multi-million dollar offer for 21-year-old Kastriot Imeri; a breakout player in the league who has seen his market value double to €6 million in the past calendar year.

Imeri--who also made his debut for the Swiss national team in November--was courted unsuccessfully by Genoa CFC in the January transfer window. The report states that OGC Nice are also interested in the up-and-comer's services, but that Eintracht wish to strike first with a concrete offer. Imeri himself opted to remain in Switzerland for the duration of the season in order to "serve his home-town club".

A move in the offseason nevertheless appears to be in line with the players wishes.

"I could have left in the winter," Imeri noted in a recent interview, "Two or three clubs contacted Servette, but I wanted to remain here and continue to accrue experience."

Imeri then added: "The Bundesliga would appeal to me."
