Robert Lewandowski has received online death threats after stating his desire to leave Bayern München this summer, according to German broadcaster Sport1 and Polish publication WP SportoweFakty.

Lewandowski was filmed arriving at Säbener Straße for medical and performance tests ahead of the new season today following his vacation.

As a result of the death threats he has received, the Polish international forward has returned to Munich alone without his wife and kids.

The 33-year-old remains keen on joining Barcelona, who are reportedly preparing a final offer, and is hoping that the transfer will be sorted out quickly.
