Rode after latest comeback win: "It's like a Hollywood script for our team."
The ever-modest Eintracht Frankfurt squad captain Sebastian Rode didn't wish to make too much of his critical equalizer in Saturday's 2-1 win over Augsburg. He nevertheless couldn't disguise his joy.

A early goal from Augsburg's Mërgim Berisha could have left the visiting Hessians shellshocked. The Augsburg striker put his side up 1-0 in the 1st. Frankfurt nevertheless remained calm and equalized via their skipper in less than a quarter-of-an-hour. Squad captain Sebastian Rode was elated afterwards.
"Outstanding," Rode noted with a wide grin whilst speaking to the Sky microphones, "To win here 2-1 is an outstanding result. To fight and run like that again today, especially after the game in Lisbon. It's like a Hollywood script for our team. We're playing very good football."
As for his part in the equalizer that snapped his team back in it, Rode fell back on the technicalities of the goal. The bulk of the credit was reserved for his teammates.
"Junior [Ebimbe] plays the ball in, Jesper [Lindstrøm] clears the way by going to the first post," Rode remarked with a measured tone, "and then I just have to push it in."
If there was one criticism he could level at his colleagues, Rode felt that conceding goals still happened far too easily. Even though Frankfurt have kept three clean sheets in their last 11 competitive fixtures, the SGE skipper still expressed the hope that they could "turn that off".
Currently in fifth place in the Bundesliga table, Eintracht will fancy their chances of grabbing still more points as the winter break approaches, just as they did last year. The reigning Europa League Champions face Hoffenheim and Mainz in the final seven days before the World Cup break.
