Kicker Report: Freiburg and Stuttgart near agreement on Jeong

Germany's preeminent footballing publication claims that, after some unpromising early negotiations, SC Freiburg and VfB Stuttgart are now closing in on a deal to send South Korean attacker Woo-Yeong Jeong to Swabia.
Initially rebuffed in their attempts to acquire attacker Woo-Yeong Jeong from SC Freiburg, Germany's Kicker magazine now reports that VfB Stuttgart are nearing a deal to get their man after all. Despite the fact that Jeong didn't factor into SCF trainer Christian Streich's plans as much as other players last season, the Breisgauer still wanted upwards of €4 million for the 11-times-capped Taeguk Warrior.

Stuttgart's opening bid of €2 million was, according to Kicker, rejected outright. Now Kicker claims that the two clubs have moved towards a compromise. Jeong maintains an estimated market worth of €3.5 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. Jeong made 34 appearances for Freiburg across all competitions last year, mostly in relief. He collected a total of two goals and three assists.
