Werder Bremen's reliable "Deichstube" website is currently reporting that Austrian winger Marco Grüll has signed on with the Hanseaten for a move on a free transfer this summer.

In spite of the fact that his Austrian club deemed him too important to sell during the just completed January transfer window, Austrian winger Marco Grüll looks to be in line for a Bundesliga move this summer. The 25-year-old sits on a contract set to expire at the end of the current season. As such, he was permitted to negotiate with other clubs for a move on a free transfer last month. It appears one German club has won out.

SV Werder Bremen's ordinarily reliable "Deichstube" fan site reports that its club has outpaced competitors 1. Union Berlin and FSV Mainz 05 to secure Grüll's services for next year. The site claims that Grüll's working papers for next season are already signed. The four-times-capped ÖFB international will join fellow countrymen Marco Friedl and Romano Schmid on the SV roster.
