Kicker Report: Eintracht still set to acquire Amenda for 2024/25 season

Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that Eintracht Frankfurt and Young Boys Bern do have an agreement in place for the summer transfer of young Swiss center back Aurele Amenda.
A rumored transfer of 20-year-old Swiss central defender Aurele Amenda to Eintracht Frankfurt over the recently closed January transfer window did not come to pass. Germany's preeminent footballing publication, Kicker Magazine, reports that the reason for this concerns the fact that Amenda's Swiss Club Young Boys Bern did not wish to let the Swiss youth international go without procuring a replacement.

In a blurb published on the magazine's website late Monday evening, Kicker goes on to claim that Amenda will be moving to the RheinMain metropolis in the summer. All that fails, the well-resourced trade journal claims, is an official announcement from the two clubs. Amenda's current contract with the Swiss side runs through 2025, meaning that he can neither join Frankfurt on a free nor be loaned out next year.

A sale is thus the only remaining possibility. Amenda maintains an estimated market worth of €5 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. This amounts to chump change to a club still flush with money following a lucrative autumn transfer window. Frankfurt were able to flash some considerable cash on the recently completed loan deal to bring French striker Hugo Ekitiké to Hessen and have tens of millions more in their coffers.
